Welcome to Global Artists, a program of The NYPAA operated by The MusicSquared Foundation (“MusicSquared,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website www.globalartists.nyc (the “Site”) and your participation in the Global Artist Program (the “Program”).

By accessing the Site, submitting an application, paying a deposit, or enrolling in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site or enroll in the Program.

1. ABOUT GLOBAL ARTISTS AND THE PROGRAM

Global Artists is an international recreational performing arts and cultural immersion program offered by The MusicSquared Foundation under The NYPAA.

The Program provides weekend performing arts workshops and curated cultural experiences in New York City. It is:

  • Non-degree

  • Non-credit

  • Recreational

  • Not a vocational program

  • Not a certificate or credential program

The Program does not grant academic credit or formal certification. Participants may receive a Participation Letter only.


2. ELIGIBILITY

To participate, you must:

  • Meet the minimum age requirement for your specific session;

  • Have legal capacity to enter a binding agreement (or parental consent if applicable);

  • Comply with all U.S. immigration and travel requirements.

We may decline or remove any participant at our discretion for safety, misconduct, or policy violations.


3. NON-ACADEMIC STATUS & VISA INFORMATION

The Program is a part-time, recreational, non-academic experience.
We do not issue Form I-20, sponsor student visas, or provide immigration advice.

Participants are solely responsible for:

  • Securing valid passports, visas, or travel authorizations;

  • Confirming that their visa status permits participation;

  • Complying with all U.S. immigration rules.

Enrollment does not guarantee entry to the United States.


4. ENROLLMENT, APPLICATIONS & ACCOUNTS

To enroll, you may be required to:

  • Complete an application or registration form;

  • Provide accurate personal information;

  • Pay a non-refundable deposit to reserve your seat.

Providing false or incomplete information may result in denial or removal from the Program.

If accounts are created on the Site, you are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.


5. PROGRAM FEES, DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

The Program tuition is all-inclusive as described for each session.

Deposit:
An $800 deposit is required to secure enrollment.
This deposit is non-refundable and applied toward tuition.

Balance:
Tuition balances are due by the deadline communicated in your enrollment materials.

Failure to pay the remaining balance may result in loss of your place and forfeiture of the deposit.

Payment methods are listed on the Site or your invoice. By paying, you authorize us or our payment processors to process the transaction.


6. CANCELLATION, REFUNDS & DEFERMENTS

All tuition, fees, and deposits are non-refundable.
This applies to all circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Changes in personal plans

  • Visa denials

  • Travel disruptions

  • Illness

  • Scheduling conflicts

  • Any unforeseen events

This policy exists because we make advance commitments for venues, excursions, housing, and staff based on enrollment.

A deferment to a future session may be offered at our discretion but is not guaranteed.


7. PROGRAM CONTENT, SCHEDULE & CHANGES

Program schedules, instructors, workshops, events, housing arrangements, and excursions are subject to change at any time.

We may adjust programming due to safety concerns, weather, venue availability, or other factors. Such changes do not entitle participants to refunds or credits.


8. TRAVEL, INSURANCE & PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

Participants are responsible for:

  • Booking their own travel to and from New York City;

  • Maintaining necessary travel or medical insurance;

  • Ensuring they are healthy and capable of participating in Program activities.

We are not responsible for flight delays, cancellations, lost property, or other travel-related expenses.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended.


9. HOUSING

If housing is included, participants will be placed in shared furnished accommodations.

Participants must:

  • Follow all housing rules;

  • Respect roommates and property;

  • Follow check-in/out instructions;

  • Maintain appropriate cleanliness and behavior.

We may remove participants from housing (or the Program) due to misconduct, including:

  • Harassment

  • Threatening behavior

  • Property damage

  • Illegal drug use

  • Underage drinking

  • Unsafe behavior

No refunds are provided if a participant is removed from housing for misconduct.


10. CODE OF CONDUCT

Participants must behave respectfully and safely at all times.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior;

  • Physical or verbal threats;

  • Illegal substances or underage drinking;

  • Disruption of workshops or excursions;

  • Violation of laws or Program policies.

We may remove any participant for unsafe or disruptive behavior without refund.


11. HEALTH, SAFETY & EMERGENCIES

Participants must disclose any relevant health needs and ensure they are capable of participating in the Program’s activities.

In an emergency, we may seek medical care on the participant’s behalf. Participants are responsible for medical costs.


12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All Program materials, branding, content, and media are property of The MusicSquared Foundation or its licensors.

Participants may not:

  • Record workshops without permission;

  • Copy, distribute, or republish Program materials;

  • Use Program names or logos without approval.

If photos or videos are taken during Program activities, a separate media release may be required.


13. WEBSITE USE

By using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Engage in unlawful activity;

  • Attempt unauthorized access;

  • Introduce malware;

  • Scrape or harvest content;

  • Disrupt the Site’s operation.

We may modify or discontinue the Site at any time.


14. PRIVACY

Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy, which will be available on the Site.
By using the Site or enrolling, you consent to the practices described therein.


15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

The MusicSquared Foundation, The NYPAA, Global Artists, and their employees, officers, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of participation in the Program or use of the Site.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount of tuition actually paid for the specific Program session at issue.

Nothing herein limits liability that cannot be limited by law.


16. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The MusicSquared Foundation, The NYPAA, Global Artists, and their affiliates from claims arising out of:

  • Your participation in the Program;

  • Your use of the Site;

  • Your violation of these Terms;

  • Your violation of any law or third-party rights.


17. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Some Program components or Site functions may involve third-party vendors (housing providers, ticket vendors, excursion operators, payment processors, etc.).
We are not responsible for their practices, content, or policies.
Your use of such services is governed by their own terms.


18. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of New York County, New York.


19. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time.
The updated version will include a revised “Last Updated” date and becomes effective upon posting.

Your continued use of the Site or participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
